AFAF Announces 2011 Grants Will Exceed $250,000
American Friends of our Armed Forces has announced it will provide more than $250,000 in grants during 2011 to organizations assisting America’s military families.  The Coachella Valley based charity has provided more than 1.2 million dollars in support for America’s troops and their families since its formation in 2005.

5th Annual Adopt a Marine for Thanksgiving Plans Announced
AFAF has announced plans for its 5th Annual Adopt a Marine for Thanksgiving Program, including arrangements for 250 Marines to be hosted by more than 100 valley families. A new feature of this year’s program is a partnership with several valley country clubs that includes each club’s commitment to provide families to host 50 marines. Marines will be transported to and from the Marine Air Ground Combat Center in 5 well equipped busses to participating valley clubs.

Plans for 8th Annual Golf Classic Announced
Plans have been announced by American Friends of our Armed Forces for its 8th Annual Charity Golf Classic. The event is returning to Toscana Country Cub April 23, 2012 after successful 2009 and 2010 tournaments at the renowned valley club. Previous AFAF Golf Classics at Toscana have raised more than $100,000 each year. Player registration details will be announced in November 2011.
