Celebrations Planned with Valley Host Families and at Marine Base
AFAF has announced plans for the charity’s 19th Annual Adopt a Marine for Thanksgiving, including the hosting of more than 300 Marines from the Marine Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms, California.
Luxury, chartered busses will make the trip from the Coachella Valley to the Marine Base to pick up the Marines for the trip to valley drop off points where host families will be anxiously awaiting the Marine they will host on this most American of Holidays.
As in recent years, AFAF will also host a Thanksgiving celebration at the base for over 500 Marines. This double Thanksgiving celebration in the valley and at the base has become an annual tradition that Marines look forward to each year.

AFAF’s Military Appreciation Golf Tournament returns to the world famous Classic Club on December 1, 2025.
The day includes championship golf, great food and prizes for everyone. AFAF will host 75 Marines who will join civilian sponsors for the charity’s 17th Annual Golf Classic.

Held at Toscana Country Club in Indian Wells, this inspiring fundraiser honors America’s military heroes and their families. The 2026 event will be especially meaningful as guests—and the nation—celebrate America’s 250th birthday.

World Of Women (WOW) - Sun City Palm Desert held its annual "Fashion Trends" Teddy Bear Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Renaissance Indian Wells Resort & Spa.
AFAF provides the single Marines at the 29 Palms Marine Corps base with morale boosters in the form of prizes, care packages and entertainment.
ASYMCA Executive Director Anita Neu-Fultz commented that the support of AFAF made it possible for many military children to enjoy camp for the first time.
Since AFAF came on board as a sponsor for MCAGCC Youth Sports several years back, we now serve over 3000 Children & Youth.
AFAF came to the rescue during the “dog days of summer” providing funding for 34 children, 34 mothers, 13 siblings, & 14 visiting fathers & grandparents.
This unique, one of kind program increases both the students and instructors morale, including time to unwind, listen to music and enjoy a hot meal away from their daily training.
